The world is steadily developing into an increasingly complex landscape. Any gap between a rapidly changing environment and the mind-body system's natural capacity to adapt can lead to long-term stressors that can diminish its ability to compensate. The mind-body's inability to adapt to its complex environment can potentially lead to a whole host of stress-related issues, such as chronic pain, sleep difficulties, headaches, TMJ symptoms, muscle tension, digestive conditions, emotional difficulties, chronic depletion, even autoimmune disorders, to name just a few.

According to the American Psychological Association, American Institute of Stress, NY (7/8/2014):
  • 77% regularly experience physical symptoms caused by stress
  • 73% regularly experience psychological symptoms caused by stress
  • 48% reported lying awake at night due to stress
  • 48% feel their stress has increased over the past 5 years
